One of the most famous medical texts of that time was the “Regimen Sanitas Salerni” written in Latin and translated into almost every European language.
East of Salerno, after Pontecagnano, Battipaglia and Eboli, is Paestum. Here you will see its well–preserved four temples and city walls: the Temple of Poseidon (Neptune) and the Basilica dating from 6th Century, which is a temple dedicated to Hera actually (she was the main divinity of Paestum).
